Liverpool loanees Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho combined yesterday for Hull City’s equaliser against Leeds but could not prevent their side succumbing to late defeat at Elland Road.
The pair have impressed in their loan spells at the Tigers as they bid to put themselves in contention to be key components in the post-Klopp era at Liverpool.
Morton, who joined Hull on loan in September, danced past a number of Leeds defenders before pulling back a cross for Carvalho to skilfully convert and level the game at 1-1.
That strike saw the Portuguese forward register his fifth goal in thirteen appearances for Liam Rosenior’s side.

Carvalho joined Hull’s ranks in January following a tricky loan spell at RB Leipzig. Liverpool have enjoyed a good relationship with the Tigers of late. “The reason he’s at Liverpool is because he’s got enormous potential and I can’t thank them enough for trusting us,” Rosenior said. “Liverpool have seen the work we’ve done with Tyler Morton.”
In February, Jurgen Klopp also spoke of his satisfaction of the work both clubs have done: “It’s so good to see. Fabio and Tyler are doing really well. It’s so nice to see Fabio completely confident again. Both are pretty dominant players, involved in a lot of moments. [The] development of both is fantastic”.
