Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has praised former Liverpool forward Divock Origi's performance in the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Bristol City.
Forest thought they were in for an easy night when Origi scored his first goal for the club after eight minutes, only for Jason Knight to equalise six minutes later. Origi, a former Liverpool striker, has had a tough time at the City Ground due to injury.
Championship side Bristol City put up a good fight and had enough chances to win both in regular and extra time. But Forest claimed a 5-3 penalty shootout win after goalkeeper Matt Turner denied Sam Bell, which allowed substitute Taiwo Awoniyi to fire home the winning kick.

While Origi was substituted himself in the 75th minute, the striker's manager was impressed with his goal and performance.
Nuno commented: "I think in the first half he did well with that energy. But as the minutes go by, he has had a long absence. We are adding options to allow these players to play, it gives us options for the future.
"We are trying to manage what we have, recover players that were out. We still have until (February) 11th a lot of players involved in the (Africa Cup of Nations), it is important to have as many options as we can."
Origi left Liverpool after his contract expired in 2022, joining Serie A side AC Milan on a four-year deal. He managed two goals and one assist in 36 games in Italy, before returning to the Premier League with Forest last summer.
The forward's goal against Bristol City was his first in 10 games for Forest.
