Paris Saint-Germain 'plan to integrate Xavi Simons into first team next season'

During the summer transfer window, PSG exercised the right to activate a buy-back clause for Simons, who had previously moved to PSV Eindhoven in search of first-team football.

Simons was a revelation during his first campaign in the Netherlands, contributing 22 goals and 12 assists from his 48 matches in all competitions.

When PSG had acquired his services again, the expectation had initially been that he would be kept in Luis Enrique's squad given his status as one of the best prospects in world football.

Instead, the Dutchman was allowed to link up with RB Leipzig, again on a season-long loan, to further enhance his development on the European stage.
