Nottingham Forest have been slapped with a huge fine and their first-team coach Steven Reid banned for two games by the Football Association following the controversial Premier League clash with Liverpool.
Reid was sent off after confronting referee Paul Tierney following the final whistle of the game at the City Ground earlier this month, which the Reds won 1-0 with a dramatic injury-time goal from Darwin Nunez.
Forest were furious that two minutes earlier when, after play was stopped with Forest on the attack due to Ibrahima Konate suffering a head injury, Tierney had incorrectly restarted with an uncontested drop ball to Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis stormed on to the pitch while Reid remonstrated with Tierney before being dismissed. And the relegation strugglers - who were recently hit with a four-point penalty due to financial breaches - have now been fined £75,000 by the FA, with Reid being given a two-game touchline suspension and a £5,000 fine.
Describing the flashpoint, Tierney stated in his Extraordinary Incident Report after the game: "Following the final whistle I was surrounded by members of Nottingham Forest’s substitutes and backroom staff on the field of play. One of those who approached me was Steven Reid. He asked me about a decision and I said to him that I will speak to him inside and not outside on the field of play.
"He then continued to question me and I repeated that I would speak to him inside. He then said 'it’s the same every week, you c***'. I showed him the red card and then he said 'I worked with you
