Piers Morgan was one of many to hit out at West Ham's 'classless' fans for booing Declan Rice on his return to the club.
The midfielder was part of the Arsenal side playing at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon in the crucial Premier League fixture.
However Rice's welcome was less-than warm with loud boos coming from the home supporters in east London — something that was warned by one supporter on talkSPORT earlier in the season.
But that didn't stop him from providing two assists for his teammates as Arsenal went 4-0 up over their London rivals before half-time, thanks to goals from William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard.
That was the first time in his career that Rice has ever provided two assists in a Premier League game.
However Rice then went one step further by scoring a beautiful curling effort before refusing to celebrate in front of his old admirers in an emphatic 6-0 victory for Arsenal.
It wasn't the midfielder's first trip back to the club though, with Rice previously facing West Ham in the Carabao Cup back in November.
That occasion also saw the midfielder booed by fans, albeit with plenty of supporters also cheering their former captain.
However with plenty of West Ham fans choosing to boo Rice once again, rival fans have been less-than impressed.
One wrote: «Grow up West Ham fans booing Declan Rice when he gets the ball.»
A second supporter said: «Declan Rice, the man who brought West Ham their first trophy in decades and then more than 100M in a transfer fee, is being booed by the West Ham fans when he touches the ball. Supporters are dumb.»
Meanwhile a third fan wrote: «Why are West Ham fans booing Declan Rice's every touch? That would like Arsenal fans booing Patrick Vieira. So
