Mauricio Pochettino insists nothing needs to change at Chelsea in 2024 despite the Blues languishing in 10th in the Premier League.
Asked on Friday about his New Year's resolution, Pochettino said: 'Not to change. To keep believing is the most important thing. We are doing a job that is going to pay off when the circumstances will be different.'
Chelsea have been hit by injuries throughout this season and have missed more 'big chances' than any team in the league.
'The circumstances we are fighting are really tough,' Pochettino added. 'We are not getting the results we deserve but we need to keep pushing. That's the only way.'
Chelsea finish 2023 with a trip to Luton on Saturday. The Blues have just 45 points from 42 games this year, despite spending more than £1billion since Todd Boehly bought the club, with more than £400million forked out since Pochettino took over as manager in July.
The Argentine is adamant next month's transfer window will be far calmer.
'With the players we have, we can have a very good season,' said Pochettino.
'Against Crystal Palace, the starting XI of Chelsea was our youngest ever (in the Premier League) and that is a thing that only with time we can turn into a good result.
'There is talent but that is not enough. It is also about mentality and experience together. With time, we will arrive at the level where we can compete for big things.'
