The signing of Radu Dragusin could have a huge impact at both ends of the pitch for Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham side. A powerful defender who is very good defensively first and foremost, the 21-year-old is also excellent on the ball and appears to be the perfect defender for Postecoglou due to his attributes. The Australian will only take Dragusin up to new levels at Tottenham and the head coach is going to have quite the decision on his hands when it comes to picking his defence with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven excelling under him so far.
Dragusin's first opportunity in the Tottenham team could potentially come on Sunday evening when the Lilywhites travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United. If indeed he can immediately replicate his Serie A form in the Premier League then Erik ten Hag's attackers are going to be in for quite the 90 minutes.
In Serie A this season, Dragusin ranks second for clearances completed (87), third for aerial duels (59) and third for headed clearances (45). The Bucharest-born player then comes in ninth for shots from headers having registered 12.
As much as the focus will be on the defensive side of his game, Dragusin can also be quite the attacking weapon for Postecoglou and Spurs from set-pieces. Despite operating as a centre-back, the player does have quite the eye for a goal.
