Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand both agree that Cole Palmer deserves the title of the signing of the season in the Premier League.
Palmer is enjoying his first full season with Chelsea following his £42.5 million move from Manchester City last summer. The 21-year-old has been one of the major success stories for Chelsea this term in what has been a difficult campaign.
Mauricio Pochettino's side recorded a 4-3 win over Manchester United in midweek in dramatic fashion. Palmer scored a hat-trick in the game at Stamford Bridge to take his tally for the season up to 21 in all competitions.
Cole and Ferdinand were on punditry duty for TNT Sports' coverage of the game and were alongside each other once again on Saturday for Manchester City's clash against Crystal Palace. Cole was asked to name the player he believes is worthy of being called the signing of the season in the Premier League, and went on to wax lyrical about Palmer.
«I said it after the game in the height of excitement and I’m sober today and I still think it, I think so,» Cole told TNT Sports when asked if he thinks Palmer is the best signing by a Premier League team this season.

«I can’t see an argument against, for the money Chelsea paid for him and the age he’s at and what he’s done for Chelsea. I shudder to think where Chelsea would be if Cole Palmer hadn’t put pen to paper.
