Impressed Simon Jordan has heaped praise on Philippe Clement's overhaul at Rangers - but couldn't resist a dig at Michael Beale.
Since the Londoner left Ibrox earlier in the campaign the Belgian has taken the Light Blues to the top of the Scottish Premiership as well as claiming the League Cup along the way. The progress has also been highlighted on the continent - with Rangers winning their Europa League group and earning a battling draw against Benfica during their last 16 clash in Lisbon.
The performance against the Eagles has caught the eye of Jordan - who grasped the chance to kickstart his long-running feud with Beale. The former Crystal Palace man was a leading detractor of the boss during his final days as boss in Govan and continued his criticism during his ill-fated spell at Sunderland - which saw the 43-year-old shown the door at the Stadium of Light after just 12 games.
Discussing the display from Rangers in Europe with Jim White on talkSPORT, Jordan said: “With all due respect to Michael Beale, I don’t want to pour more vitriol on the stuff he’s already got, but it shows a difference between managers and people who want to be managers is night and day. Clement has got Rangers to be a formidable outfit.”
