Everton were unable to capitalise on raucous Goodison Park atmosphere as they fell to a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
It was the Blues' first Premier League game since they were deducted 10 points for breaching the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules. Prior to the game at Goodison Park surrounding streets were packed with Evertonians making their displeasure at the sanctions known.
On the field, a spectacular overhead kick from Alejandro Garnacho in just the third minute who proved a hammer blow for Sean Dyche's side, who then created and wasted a number of chances to equalise before the first half was out. And that proved costly as a Marcus Rashford penalty and a customary Anthony Martial goal against Everton sealed an ultimately comfortable three points for United.
