Thiago Alcantara’s agent has shut down the suggestion that the Liverpool midfielder could be about to depart to head to Turkey.
Thiago is understood to have rejected an approach from Saudi Arabia earlier this summer. However, the speculation linking him with a move away from Anfield has remained.
Both Galatasaray S.K. and Trabzonspor have been named as possible destinations for the Spanish international ahead of the Turkish transfer window closing tonight. However, in a statement released to Sports Digitale, via Sport Witness, Thiago’s agent, Alejandro Boesch, said that his client will not be departing Anfield.
He said: "My partner Jordi went to Istanbul for a holiday. Thiago will not play in Turkey."

"It’s not cool for him; it’s not cool for us, but it’s how it is. Thiago will use the (September) international break for that, to be up to speed, I’m pretty sure. It should hopefully be enough."
