Micah Richards aimed a light-hearted dig at fellow pundit Jamie Carragher during CBS Sports' live broadcast of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The much-loved quartet of Richards, Carragher, Thierry Henry and Kate Abdo were back on the channel's airwaves for the return of the Champions League and it didn't take long for them to get back into their usual flow.
Known for its humorous chat in their broadcasting, the show received rave reviews once again as it covered Newcastle's draw with AC Milan before going into Manchester City's win over Red Star Belgrade.
Richards was on hand to celebrate City's win having made 245 appearances for the club over a ten-year period, with Arsenal legend Henry waiting for the Gunners' return to the competition on Wednesday.
Carragher, however, who made his name for Liverpool, won't be watching his team in the Champions League this season, and Richards was on hand to let him know.
'Can I just make a reference?' Richards asked it his usual enthusiasm.
'We've been on air for five hours and we've not actually referenced that you should be doing Thursday nights.'
Carragher replied: 'I'll do Thursdays if you do Wednesdays,' before the two broke down into laughter with Abdo again having to play the metaphorical peace-maker.
Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League this season, a competition they have won six times, just two years after reaching the final.
Jurgen Klopp's side finished fifth in the Premier League last season in what was a difficult campaign for the side, instead qualifying for the Europa League, which is usually played on Thursday nights.
