Micah Richards wasted no time to remind Jamie Carragher Liverpool will not be participating in the Champions League this season.
The first round of group stage matches took place yesterday evening, with Manchester City and Newcastle United the two English clubs involved. Arsenal and Manchester United will face PSV Eindhoven and Bayern Munich respectively tonight.
Liverpool of course missed out on Europe's elite competition for the first time under a full season with Jurgen Klopp at the helm, having last not featured in the competition during the German's maiden campaign in 2015/16.
The Reds, instead, will be participating in the Europa League and will take part in their first match tomorrow night when travelling to Austria to take on LASK Linz.
