Well, we’ve taken our first step on the long and fun road to the Europa League final in Dublin next year! Thursday night’s tie against Austrian side LASK was pretty much everything I’d expected to see from the Reds in terms of the team we fielded, offering an interesting opportunity to see more from the likes of Endo, Doak and Gravenberch.
These are all key players, who I’m sure will prove to be the backbone of our cup competitions this season. When you’re in a bit of hot water, doesn’t it help to have the big guns to pull you out? I can’t not mention Salah’s sensational cameo, he just about always comes off the bench with a point to prove. While resting some other key players, I’m expecting to see a sharp performance against West Ham on Sunday.
