Jamie Carragher has refused to give up hope on Jude Bellingham signing for Liverpool in the future.
The remarkable midfielder was known to be on Liverpool’s radar even prior to joining Borussia Dortmund in 2020. Bellingham quickly went from strength to strength in Germany and developed into one of the hottest prospects in world football.
The England international, 20, was snapped by Real Madrid for around £88.5m this summer and is already proving to be somewhat of a bargain for Los Blancos. Playing in a more advanced role, Bellingham has scored six goals in as many games, rapidly establishing himself as a key player for the Spanish giants.

Liverpool ultimately decided against a marquee move for Bellingham due to the scale of their midfield rebuild. However, when discussing the prodigious talent, former Reds defender Carragher insisted that Bellingham could still play for the club, one day.
Asked if Bellingham would have looked good in a Liverpool shirt, Carragher responded: “He would have done. But there is still time. He isn’t going to stay there his whole career.”
“It’s probably hard to leave Madrid, if I am totally honest,” he continued. “But, at some stage, if he’s the best player in England and one of England’s greatest ever players, which I think he will become, then I think he will want to sample the Premier League. And where better than Liverpool, the six-time Champions League winners.”
