Thomas Considine showed the Limerick public exactly what he is about, as the winger turned in an impressive debut, netting a brace of goals to help Treaty United beyond a disjointed Cobh Ramblers.
With 1,926 paying into the Markets Field, there was renewed vigour for the Limerick outfit, with Canadian investment and a change to blue home colours, the preferred colour of football among long standing supporters of League of Ireland football in the Mid-West.
Tommy Barrett has overseen each of Treaty’s three campaigns to date and will be thrilled to commence their fourth with a victory, especially given that his side collected just one point from four outings against Cobh in 2023.
