Tottenham exited the FA Cup on Friday evening following a 1-0 defeat against Man City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With the game looking on course to go to a replay at the Etihad Stadium, Nathan Ake bundled home a late winner to register City's first ever win at Spurs' new home.
The visitors started the game incredibly brightly and were extremely unlucky not to open the scoring after Oscar Bobb was adjudged to have been offside by a matter of millimetres when he tapped home on the line. Spurs just couldn't get going to begin with and struggled to even cross the halfway due to City's superiority.
Much better after the break, Brennan Johnson was the first Spurs player to test Stefan Ortega as he was played through and his dinked effort hit the goalkeeper in the chest. Tottenham unfortunately just failed to create any meaningful chances and that in the end allowed the visitors to secure a place in round five as Ake converted with two minutes left on the clock.
