Tottenham technical director Johan Lange has hinted that patience from supporters could be required when it comes to January transfer addition Radu Dragusin. Short at centre-back since the beginning of September following Davinson Sanchez's transfer exit, Tottenham were left with limited numbers in such a key position at the beginning of November following an injury to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero's three-match suspension.
Needing to move quickly in the winter market to add to the centre-back numbers, Tottenham quickly tied up a deal for Dragusin after striking an agreement with Italian side Genoa for the Romanian. Set to challenge Van de Ven and Romero for a spot in the Tottenham team, the 22-year-old has so far made three appearances for the Lilywhites from the substitutes' bench.
Enjoying great success with the transfer dealings for Ange Postecoglou, Lange has made it clear that the player is still young and that there is much more to come from him in the future.
«We've seen Radu being very strong for Genoa over a long period. He has the speed and he's very strong one vs one, but he's just turned 22,» explained the Dane when speaking to the club about their January business.
«He's very young player with a lot of growth for the future. Again, he has settled in well to the club but there is much more to come from him in the years to come.»
