Victor Osimhen tells Chelsea why they have January transfer advantage amid Man United interest

Chelsea transfer target Victor Osimhen has dropped a huge hint over his next club amid ongoing uncertainty over his future at Napoli. The 24-year-old continues to be heavily linked with a move to the Premier League after his heroics in Serie A.

Osimhen, who sees his contract in Naples expire in 2025, has continued his fine goalscoring form this season. Despite suffering with an ongoing hamstring injury, the Nigeria international has scored six goals in eight league appearances.

A move has been touted for the January transfer window after Napoli managed to keep hold of him last summer.Reports from Italy have claimed that the Italian giants are doing their best to extend his contract, though a dispute over a potential release clause continues to cause problems.

Now, with over a month until the window reopens, Osimhen has provided a hint over his potential preferred destination. Speaking on John Obi Mikel's 'The Obi One Podcast', he said: «I don't have a favourite Premier League team but I've two jerseys: Chelsea and Man United.

»Many friends of mine are Chelsea fans, few are Man United fans." Osimhen added: «Premier League is the most appreciated league by every African player — it's a huge league.»
