For many years now FC Barcelona's youth academy, also known as 'La Masia', has consistently produced young talents who have eventually made their way into the elite of football and others who have even gone on to become legends at the Catalan giants, for example Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez and Busquets, who formed one of the best midfields in history.
In recent years the 'Cules' have made less use of home-grown players by splashing out on players such as Coutinho, Dembele and Neymar in their time, but none have paid off like those home-grown players who have succeeded at the club at zero cost.
However, Barcelona's poor financial situation of late has prompted the Catalans to put their faith back in home-grown players such as Gavi, Lamine Yamal and Cubarsi, who are living up to expectations and the Spanish winger and defender has recently earned a call-up to the senior Spanish national team.
