Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes vented his frustration at referee Michael Oliver following the conclusion of Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Fulham at Old Trafford.
United slumped to a first defeat of 2024 in all competitions, conceding a last-gasp winner from Cottagers winger Alex Iwobi. The former Arsenal man netted a 97th-minute winner to seal the Londoners their first win over the Reds in 15 years.
United, though they were second best throughout the afternoon, thought they had done enough to earn themselves a point when Harry Maguire cancelled out Calvin Bassey's opener in the final minute of regulation time. United threw everything at Fulham in pursuit of a winner after nine minutes of added time were allotted.

Fulham, however, caught United on the break and sealed all three points through Iwobi. The defeat left United eight points shy of the top four.
Following the full-time whistle, Fernandes appeared to be furious with Oliver, vocalising his frustrations with the Premier League whistle-blower. Though it was unclear what the former Sporting Lisbon man was specifically furious about, he stood in front of Oliver, plus his assistants, shouting and putting his hands out in front of him, suggesting he was appealing for something.
As the attacking midfielder made his frustrations clear, United manager Erik ten Hag made his way onto the M16 playing surface to shake hands with Oliver and his assistants. Ten Hag stood between Fernandes and Oliver to embrace the latter.
