With Kingsley Coman (27) out of the upcoming international break, Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola (21) is being considered for a first call-up.
Barcola moved from Olympique Lyonnais to PSG for €45m last summer, and whilst he initially struggled to find his feet, he has since gone on to consolidate a place in the starting XI under Luís Enrique. With three goals and five assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for Les Parisiens, the club are preparing for a future in which Barcola is a central figure. As a result, there are reports that PSG will not replace Kylian Mbappé (25) when he departs at the end of the season, instead choosing to prioritise Barcola’s development, by allowing him to be the first choice on the left wing.
His performances have caught the attention of Didier Deschamps, who will name his squad for this month’s internationals on 13th March. According to Téléfoot, Barcola is being considered as an option to replace the injured Coman, although no decision has yet been taken.
Les Bleus face Germany on 23rd March before then facing Chile three days later in preparation for the upcoming Euros at the end of the season.
