World Book Day is celebrated in over 100 countries all over the world and involves activities and events organised by children's groups, nurseries and schools to encourage children's reading. This year, World Book Day falls on Thursday, March 7.
The occasion sees children dress up as their favourite characters from literature and receive National Book Tokens to be redeemed against a selection of books or to get money off a full-price book.
