Some questioned if such impassioned celebrations were necessary after beating a side from the relegation zone at home but Klopp refused to yield when asked about the post-match antics, saying the theatrics are specifically for Reds' supporters.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's Carabao Cup final with Chelsea, Klopp said: "Sometimes things happen to me, it’s not that I plan it or whatever. It was a really special game. The situation we had it was clear who could play, then how the first half went and then the direction the second half went, it just did that to me pretty much.
"I enjoyed that game so much. It was such a wonderful performance, in a great atmosphere, and that’s why it happened. You can make of my celebrations what you want. I heard the discussions – that Mikel over-celebrated the win against us. That definitely did not come from me. Everybody can do whatever.
