‘An absolute disgrace’ – Roy Keane pulls no punches with West Ham verdict during Arsenal horror show

Roy Keane has labelled West Ham 'an absolute disgrace' for their first half display against Arsenal.

David Moyes' side had hopes of causing an upset but found themselves 4-0 down at half-time following an emphatic first-half display from the Gunners.

West Ham held firm for half an hour before William Saliba gave the Gunners the lead, a situation that was made worse as the Hammers conceded three goals in six minutes before the break to put the game firmly to bed.

The home supporters had clearly seen enough with a large number of them flooding out of the stadium before the break.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said: «West Ham in the last 10 or 15 minutes have been an absolute disgrace.

“They’ve not turned up. The first half an hour was a little bit cagey, obviously Arsenal were getting on top but it was the goals that they’ve given away.

“They’re not being physical, they’re not tackling – Odegaard, nobody has laid a glove on him!

“There’s ways to lose a game of football but the way West Ham are playing…They look old, they look sluggish in midfield, they’re running back with no desire or hunger.

“David Moyes must be fuming at half-time, but all credit to Arsenal. They’ve turned up, they’ve flexed their muscles and look sharp and at it – West Ham, a disgrace.”

Things to not get much better in the second half with Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice adding a fifth and sixth as Arsenal ran out with an emphatic 6-0 win over their London neighbours.

That victory puts the Gunners just two points behind league leaders Liverpool, while West Ham remain in eighth position.
