Armando Broja stance emerges after Chelsea transfer deadline day move

Marco Silva believes January signing Armando Broja can bring «many good things» to Fulham after his loan switch from Chelsea. Albania international Broja, who is in contention to make his first start for Fulham in their Premier League clash at home to Bournemouth on Saturday, has moved to Craven Cottage for the rest of the season.

And Silva talked up the 22-year-old's Chelsea academy graduate's attributes, explaining he brings a different profile to the misfiring Rodrigo Muniz and Raul Jimenez. «He can add many good things for us, definitely,» Silva told a press conference on Friday.

«He's a different profile to what we have in the squad. His capacity, he's a more dynamic striker to Raul Jimenez.» «He will add something different to us. His qualities are his pace, his capacity to attack in behind, he's dynamic in his mobility and can cause problems to the back line and we will expect good things from him.»

«He's adapting to our model and is in a happy place.» «This week was important for him. He had to understand what we expect from him on the pitch.»

Fulham, who lost 3-0 to Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Boxing Day, are chasing their first league win since their New Year's Eve triumph over Arsenal. Silva admits the Cherries defeat was one of Fulham's «worst performances so far this season» and says his side cannot afford to put in a similar display this weekend.

He added: «It (the performance) was not up to the standards that should be.» «I spoke about that game during the week. The game after that was against Arsenal at home which was a great reaction from us after a really bad performance.»
