A number of Chelsea stars have been given an extra few days to recover to face Crystal Palace on Monday evening. Earlier this week, the Blues put in a superb performance to knock Aston Villa out of the FA Cup in a fourth-round replay, although some fitness concerns emerged from the clash.
Benoit Badiashile left Villa Park clutching his groin with Mauricio Pochettino unsure if he will be back available to face the Eagles. Moises Caicedo was also pictured being attended to by the Chelsea medical staff however he was able to continue.
Levi Colwill missed the clash entirely after initially pulling out of the starting XI to face Villa in the cup at Stamford Bridge with it still unclear when he will return. Elsewhere, Romeo Lavia has spoken for the first time since Pochettino confirmed he will not return this month.
