Mauricio Pochettino has made five changes to his Chelsea side to take on Leeds United this evening. After losing to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, the Blues are back in action just over 72 hours tonight.
Robert Sanchez returns in goal, with Djordje Petrovic dropping to the bench. Malo Gusto is at left-back, with Alfie Gilchrist coming in on the right. Trevoh Chalobah makes his first start of the season in place of Levi Colwill.
Thiago Silva still does not make the squad. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez continue in midfield. Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer drop out, with Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk replacing the duo. Raheem Sterling starts and so does Nicolas Jackson in a much-changed Chelsea team.
Pochettino has been tasked with trying to raise his players' spirits in recent days following the heartbreaking loss at Wembley. However, the Chelsea head coach has not found it difficult to do so and insisted his players are raring to go once again at Stamford Bridge.
«No, it's not difficult because we cannot wait,» Pochettino said. «Now we need to keep the spirit up, move on and be ready for tomorrow. Of course it is another competition, the FA Cup, and we also want to go until the end.
