Chelsea half-time player ratings as Christopher Nkunku and Levi Colwill shine vs Brighton
Chelsea and Brighton head into half-time all squad after Christopher Nkunku's goal levelled things up following Danny Welbeck's opener.
Kepa Arrizabalaga - Was the calmest man on the pitch when he kept the ball with an onrushing Danny Welbeck and could do little with the striker's eventual goal. Saved well when he needed to. 6.
Malo Gusto - Showed his ability to compete with Kaoru Mitoma when the ball was on the floor and showed good awareness and pace against Brighton's star. Unfortunately lost out on a header to him that led to Welbeck's goal. 6.
Thiago Silva - The Brazilian captained the west London side on Wednesday evening and received plenty of adoration from supporters. Solid as always. 6.
Levi Colwill - Another cool head in defence and immediately brings new tools to the Chelsea backline with his passing vision and comfort on the ball. Would have liked to see his header go on target but provided more evidence of what he could bring Mauricio Pochettino's side. 7.
Ben Chilwell - Was provided with a more natural high and wide role on this occasion and obviously committed to it well. Chilwell continues to be one of the Blues biggest threats and finds ways to drive at space beyond the opposition's backline. 7.
Andrey Santos - Another decent outing from the central midfielder who should his tendency to have a bit of bite in his tackles too. Lots of energy in the centre. Made an important tackle in his own box late in the half. 6.
Conor Gallagher - Using the 23-year-old at the base of midfield is perhaps another indicator that Chelsea could do with a certain Moises Caicedo but he stuck to his duties well in keeping the ball moving. 5.
Carney Chukwuemeka - Much improved outing from Chuwkwuemeka who showed more involvement in
