Chelsea injury crisis is so bad that Mauricio Pochettino is almost missing a full starting XI
Ahead of the Carabao Cup final this weekend, there has been loads of talk about Liverpool's injury 'crisis'. But what about Chelsea?
A lot of Blues supporters are becoming frustrated with the media attention the Reds are getting because Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones were taken off in the in their win against Brentford on Saturday afternoon. Chelsea, while their injury situation has somewhat eased, are still missing swathes of players as we approach their biggest game of the season at the weekend at Wembley.
Fortunately, the likes of Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah have returned from their respective injury problems in the last week. However, in turn, Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile have now both been ruled out.
Badiashile will definitely miss this weekend's final, while we wait for Silva to be assessed. At 39-years-old, though, Mauricio Pochettino will be reluctant to rush the Brazilian veteran back, particularly for a game of this magnitude.
Pochettino can almost name a full starting XI with the players that he is missing. The Argentine, fortunately, has not got any attacking players absent through injury at the moment, but he can name a strong defensive line and midfield just from members of his squad that are currently absent.

Sanchez looked as if he was going to return to the squad for the trip to Manchester at the weekend. A «personal problem» kept him out, however, and there is no indication whether he will return to the squad for the trip to Wembley.
