Thiago Silva finishes his contract with Chelsea at the end of this season. The defender has made 137 appearances for the Blues in four seasons and now, at the age of 39, looks set to hang up his boots soon.

The Brazilian centre-back is considered one of the best defenders in the Premier League and in the world, so the Blues will have a hard time finding a quality replacement for the former Paris Saint-Germain man.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in Jonathan Tah, who plays for Bundesliga leaders Bayern Leverkusen, according to The Sun.

BILD journalist Chirstian Falk confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino's side have the 27-year-old on their radar. "Tah has a release clause in his contract. He could be the successor of Thiago Silva," Pini Zahavi.
