And the 20-year-old right-back, who has played over 1,600 minutes in his debut season with the Blues, is relishing the opportunity of bringing the supporters joy. But the challenge ahead of them could not be much more difficult.

«We know they have great players,» Gusto told football.london at Cobham, when asked about Liverpool's unpredictability in attack with either Darwin Nunez or Luis Diaz popping up on the left wing. «To prepare is about tactics a little bit because we need to keep some private things but the most important thing is to be ready with our mentality and try to win and keep fighting.»

The match comes around 25 days after Liverpool dismantled Chelsea at Anfield – leaving the Blues supporters, who had made the long midweek trek up to Merseyside, frustrated and concerned for what was ahead. However, that result and performance, as painful as it was at the time, might have been the best thing that could have
