Chilwell set for scans on his latest hamstring injury
Ben Chilwell will have a scan on Thursday to assess the hamstring injury he suffered against Brighton.
Defender Chilwell was forced off in injury time of Chelsea's 1-0 Carabao Cup win over the Seagulls on Wednesday night.
He received treatment on the pitch before he was able to walk around the field alongside members of Chelsea's medical staff as he came off.
Chilwell has suffered hamstring injuries in the past including a major one last season which forced him to miss the World Cup in Qatar. His latest setback is understood to be to the same hamstring.
Chelsea will be sweating on the results of tests to determine the extent of the injury.
They already have a long list of players unavailable due to injury and suspension.
Malo Gusto and Nicolas Jackson will be banned for their next game at Fulham on Monday.
Wesley Fofana, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, Trevoh Chalobah, captain Reece James and Marcus Bettinelli are among their long-term injury absentees.
Carney Chukwuemeka and Benoit Badiashile have also been out injured but are back in partial team training after knee and hamstring issues respectively.
