The FAI have confirmed that two of the Cork City Men's First Division matches and one of their Women's Premier Division games have been reversed following the closure of Turner's Cross.
The Munster Football Association announced last Monday night that Turner's Cross Stadium will be closed for an indefinite period of time due to significant damage to the playing surface.
City were originally scheduled to host Longford Town this Friday, April 19 at 7:45pm, but that fixture will now take place at Bishopsgate on Saturday, April 20 at 7:30pm.
As a result, the Round 20 fixture, Longford Town v Cork City will now take place on Friday, 7 June at Turner’s Cross.
Furthermore, Cork City v Finn Harps, originally scheduled for the Cross on Friday, 26 April be played at Finn Park on Friday, April 26 at 6pm, with the kick-off time subject to change depending on the floodlight maintenance at the Donegal ground.
In addition, the Round 24 fixture, Finn Harps v Cork City, originally scheduled to take place at Finn Park on Friday, 12 July will now take place at Turner’s Cross at the same date and time of 7.45pm.
Finally, following the previous reversal of Cork City v DLR Waves in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division to last Saturday in the UCD Bowl, which finished 1-1, the Round 20 fixture Cork City v DLR Waves will now take place at Turner’s Cross on Saturday, 28 September at 5pm.
The FAI will issue further information when confirmed in relation to any additional Cork City fixtures that are affected as a result of the recent closure of Turner’s Cross.
