Crystal Palace are reportedly preparing to replace manager Roy Hodgson with Oliver Glasner. Hodgson, who returned to Selhurst Park in March 2023, has been under pressure due to a poor run of form.
Despite a successful end to the previous season, the team's recent performance has put Hodgson's position at risk, reports the Mirror. An injury to key player Michael Olise has added to the club's woes.
Several names have been suggested as potential replacements for Hodgson, including former Premier League bosses Julen Lopetegui and Steve Cooper. However, it seems that former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Glasner is the front-runner.
The Guardian reports that Glasner, who led Frankfurt to Europa League victory in 2022, is being considered in the event that Hodgson is sacked. The Austrian left Frankfurt last year.
According to reports, Palace have unsuccessfully tried to secure Kieran McKenna from high-flying Ipswich Town. Palace's owner, Steve Parish, is reportedly considering a change as the team is only five points clear of relegation.
The pressure on Hodgson increased after Monday's defeat to Chelsea. Despite leading at half-time, Palace lost 3-1, with former loanee Conor Gallagher scoring twice for Chelsea.

After the match, Hodgson told reporters: «We end the game three goals to one, but I don't think that was a fair reflection on the way the game was played,» He added: «I think we deserved to come off this game with at least one point, but we don't. That's how we're going to have to lift our heads and get over [it] and prepare for the next one.»
