Enda Curran showed his experience to quickly get over a missed penalty, before bagging the match-winner for Treaty United as they edged beyond UCD.
It is back-to-back wins for Treaty, who turned in a fine defensive display, against a disjointed Students outfit.
Played on a heavily sanded and bumpy UCD Bowl, both sides struggled to play the quality of football which earned them wins on opening weekend.
UCD struggled to find their feet early on, but grew into the contest.

Brennan was next to go close, in the early exchanges of the second half. His deflected effort almost dropped in over Corey Chambers – instead, it went inches over onto the roof of the net.
Curran, normally perfect from the penalty spot, wasted this opening on the hour mark.
Colin Conroy beat Breenan to a breaking ball with the former Drogheda man upending the Laois native, before Cian Moore got enough on the low strike to preserve his free-kick.
The Curran and Moore battle continued minutes later, with a long-range effort tipped over by the 20-year-old keeper. Curran would win that battle on, as third time proved lucky.
A direct punt from Chambers wasn’t dealt with, allowing Curran to sweep home left-footed.
