Dani Alves' wife Joana Sanz took to her Instagram profile to reveal that she has been facing death threats.
These threats have escalated due to her decision to seek a divorce from the Brazilian right-back, who is currently held in custody over sexual assault allegations following an alleged incident that took place in a Barcelona nightclub on December 30 last year.
In an attempt to distance herself from the controversy surrounding her husband, Sanz had previously moved to Madrid to focus on her work.
However, the relentless threats she receives, particularly from Alves' fans, have made it increasingly difficult for her to cope with the situation.
Even the player's family has been critical of her on several occasions.
«You're going to die, b**ch,» read the text that Sanz shared.
«We'll find you anywhere, b**ch. You make fun of your husband after he apologizes to you, b**ch. We are authorized to kill you.»
On top of dealing with these threats, 2023 has been an incredibly challenging year for Sanz.
In addition to the turmoil surrounding her husband, she also faced the tragic loss of her mother to cancer at the beginning of the year.
«We all have weak days, like today, when I miss my mother, and I have to be reading this s**t,» she wrote.
