Emotional Romeo Lavia breaks silence on huge Chelsea injury setback

Romeo Lavia has sent an emotional message to Chelsea fans after being ruled out for the rest of the season following yet another massive injury setback. The 20-year-old has only made one appearance for the club since arriving from Southampton for £58million in the summer.

Chelsea confirmed that Lavia would be limited to just half-an-hour on the pitch this season in a statement released on Wednesday. «Midfielder Romeo Lavia is to unfortunately miss the remainder of our 2023-24 campaign following a setback in his recovery,» it reads.

«Recent medical assessments have confirmed that Lavia, who sustained a significant thigh injury against Crystal Palace back in December, will not feature again this season.»
