Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Andy Robertson will require surgery after the defender sustained a shoulder injury on Scotland duty last week and is facing an extended spell on the sidelines.
Robertson suffered the injury to his right shoulder in the first half of Scotland's 2-0 defeat to Spain last Thursday when he tried to challenge goalkeeper Unai Simon.
The Liverpool also confirmed that the fitness of Cody Gakpo will be assessed ahead of Saturday's game, but Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara remain sidelined.
