Gary Neville has defended his comments where he labelled the Chelsea team as the «blue billion-pound bottlejobs» after they were beaten by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
Virgil van Dijk scored a 118th-minute header to win the cup for the Reds despite the Blues having a host of opportunities at Wembley. Neville, who was on co-commentary duty for Sky Sports' coverage of the game, was brutal in his assessment of Chelsea, who dominated Liverpool for a large portion of the second-half at Wembley.
Neville, who hosts The Overlap podcast on YouTube, was joined by Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott, Ian Wright and Roy Keane to discuss his comments and whether or not Chelsea did «bottle» the final. Neville and Carragher were in agreement that Chelsea did, but Scott, Wright and Keane had opposing views.

I knew that [Jamie] Carragher would come in next because I could feel him next to me, wanting to come in, Liverpool scored, and he literally jumped up and turned around to his mate.
