De Zerbi is another whose name has been floated about Anfield, and following his exploits against the Reds, The Rest is Football podcast pundits quickly came to an accord in favour of the coach.
"Xabi Alonso announced this weekend he wants to stay at Leverkusen for another season - if I was him I don’t think I would want to follow Klopp, I might want to follow the one after Klopp, if he wants to go to Liverpool," Lineker began.
"He might be thinking about Real Madrid because of [Carlo] Ancelotti next year. Who knows? But it is an interesting decision. De Zerbi has got that passion, that exuberance you probably need to follow in Klopp’s footsteps."
Following up, Richards added: "Yeah, I like it. He’s a brilliant manager. His record against Liverpool is very good.
