Trent Alexander-Arnold was full of praise for Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi ahead of Liverpool's 2-1 win on Sunday.
The Italian is now one of the favourites to take over from Jurgen Klopp at Anfield after Xabi Alonso confirmed that he would be staying at Bayer Leverkusen beyond the summer, ending Liverpool's attempts to lure him back to the club. Attention has now turned to alternative head coaches.
Having excelled on the south coast following his appointment in September 2022, De Zerbi is now one of the most sought-after managers in Europe. He was unable to stop the Liverpool title charge, though, succumbing to his first defeat against Klopp's side. He did cause a panic in Merseyside, though, with Danny Welbeck putting the visitors ahead after just 90 seconds.

But Liverpool responded to take another big step forward in the title race thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah. After missing the game due to injury, Alexander-Arnold was welcomed onto Sky Sports to speak about all things Liverpool.
And when asked about his experience facing De Zerbi, he replied: "They are well-drilled and know what they do, they believe in it and go and execute it."
The full-back then added: "They are confident in what they do and they don’t really care where they are or who they are playing against. They will play the way they are told to play and I think they are a team that likes to play out from the back and take risks.
