Chelsea have just six matches remaining of the 2023/24 season.
With the Blues now unable to win a trophy and there still being a massive concern with the direction in which the club are heading on the pitch, a lot of supporters are counting down the remaining games. Tuesday night's defeat at Arsenal has been dubbed by many fans as the lowest point of the season – and given Chelsea's inconsistency this term, that is saying something.
Chelsea go to Aston Villa on Saturday evening in their next match before they welcome Tottenham and West Ham United to Stamford Bridge in the space of three days. Then it is back-to-back away trips to Nottingham Forest and Brighton before they finish the season at home to Bournemouth.
In this six-game period, there is still plenty for Chelsea to discover ahead of what is expected to be another summer full of change at Stamford Bridge. With that said, Bobby Vincent takes a look at what the Blues might find out between now and the end of the campaign.
Mauricio Pochettino is not a popular figure amongst a large portion of the Chelsea fan base right now. The 52-year-old has failed to win over a lot of the Blues supporters, and a season full of inconsistencies has not helped his case.
Pochettino may argue, though, that there has been progress on the pitch at Chelsea. The Blues have shown at times this season that they are capable of competing with the very best but the consistency levels outside of that have really let the squad down.
