Manchester United booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Monday night with a routine 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

United, who will face either non-league Eastleigh or Newport County away from home in the next round, dominated throughout, securing a much-needed win. It was the ideal response to the 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest just over a week ago.
