‘It’s a gift’ – Thomas Tuchel waxes lyrical as he describes what it’s like to coach ‘shark’ Harry Kane

Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel could not praise Harry Kane highly enough after revealing what it was like to coach him.

Kane signed for Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window from Tottenham and has been an instant hit.

In 23 appearances in all competitions, the England international has scored 26 times — including 22 in the Bundesliga and a ton of records are tumbling already.

And Bayern boss Tuchel has talked up the 30-year-old, describing him as a 'shark' and a dream to work with.

«It's just a gift, I feel very privileged to be his coach,» the former Chelsea boss said.

«The guy is super humble, he's the first out there on the pitch every single day, anything you ask of him, he will do it, he's a huge personality who is so humble but becomes a shark on the field, because he wants to score, he wants to win.

»He does it on a daily basis. He doesn't only score on a daily basis, he trains well, he does what is needed, he shows his quality.

«He calms everyone down around him, makes everyone better by his pure presence. It's the highest level, I can put it like this, as a human being but also as a footballer, highest level.»

Kane had spent 19 years at Tottenham where he came up through the academy before leaving in 2023 as he looks to finally win a trophy.

Already noted as one of the best strikers in the world, playing in the Champions League was a huge draw for him while Tuchel praised his ability to link play as well as score goals.

The Munich manager added: «He has a very different profile to all my other players. He can play as a No.9, he's the fox in the box like no other, outstanding finishing.
