Jude Bellingham is the most valuable football player in world football — more so than Erling Haaland.
That's according to finance experts at the CIES Football Observatory, who place the Real Madrid above his Manchester City rival, who won the treble with his club last year.
A quantitative research lab based in Switzerland, the CIES Football Observatory predict transfer valuations by crunching the numbers of past transfer fees, performance statistics, age, contract length and comparisons to other players with similar skill sets.
Based on these metrics, Bellingham would cost someone a whopping £230.2million if they wanted to test Real's resolve. It's unlikely they would budge, though, given the 20-year-old is arguably the hottest young talent on the planet.
Since signing for an initial £88.5million in the summer the midfielder has become the league's top scoring player at the halfway point with 13 in LaLiga and 17 in 22 games in all competions.
Haaland is in second-place, with the treble-winning Man City star valued at £216.3million.
After scoring 52 goals in his first season under Pep Guardiola, Haaland has replicated his scoring success with 19 goals in 20 games this term, a campaign that has been impacted by injury.
Real Madrid duo Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo are third and fourth in the list with predicted valuations of £215.5million and £213.4million respectively.
Arsenal's Bukayo Saka is fifth on the list with a valuation of £192million, with Man City's Phil Foden one place behind on £168.6million.
Barcelona starlet Gavi is seventh on the list with a valuation of £151million, with Man City's Julian Alvarez (£141.8million) and Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala (£131.2million) just behind.
