Ange Postecoglou will be hoping to welcome back a key Tottenham player for the Premier League clash against Aston Villa. Destiny Udogie returned to the starting XI for the victory over Crystal Palace after missing the defeat to Wolves with fellow full-back Pedro Porro also absent for the latter clash.
Ahead of the London derby, Postecoglou revealed Udogie was ready to return but could not offer the same update on Porro. "Pedro is probably another week away," he admitted last Friday. A new injury was also confirmed in his press conference which arrived as another major blow.
"Richarlison is out for three or four weeks," the Tottenham boss revealed. «He picked up a knee injury in the last game so he will be out for a little while. Despite Postecoglou's prognosis, the Brazil international was spotted in the jubilant celebrations at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the man himself targeting a very quick return.
After the game, Richarlison was stopped in the mixed zone where he revealed to ESPN Brasil he believes he'll be ready for next Sunday's Premier League game at Aston Villa. Following the win, another injury update was provided this time by Postecoglou when he was asked about Pape Matar Sarr.
»He's had a bit of a back issue since he got back from sort of the Africa Cup of Nations," Postecoglou said. «He's been dealing with it and it's getting better but it's not sort of totally free, so it's something we're working on with him.
»It doesn't stop him training, he's still been training, but it does restrict him, it's something we're constantly working on but from what I understand he'll be fine. Like I said he hasn't missed training so it's just something we're working on with him."
