Liverpool 22-man squad for Premier League confirmed as six absences explained
Liverpool have confirmed their squad for the first half of the Premier League season - with Ryan Gravenberch among a number of first-teamers who the Reds have not needed to include.
But there is room for goalkeeper Adrian, who has been omitted from the Reds' Europa League squad named earlier this week due to Jurgen Klopp not having enough homegrown players at his disposal under UEFA rules.
The Premier League has different regulations and it has allowed the Spaniard to again be included in Liverpool's 22-man squad for the domestic campaign.
Clubs have a 25-man squad limit and are permitted to name up to 17 players who are not considered homegrown. The definition of 'homegrown' is a player who has been affiliated to an English or Welsh club for three continuous seasons - or 36 months - before their 21st birthday or the end of the season in which they turn 21.

There is no limit on the amount of players who can be named on the under-21 list, which applies to players who for this season were born after January 1, 2002 regardless of where they started their careers.
And that includes latest Liverpool signing Gravenberch, who turned 21 in May. First-team squad regulars Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic, along with up-and coming Academy players Jarell Quansah, Bobby Clark and Ben Doak, are also among those on the U21 list.
The January transfer window allows Liverpool a chance to further change their squad, which must then be finalised for the remainder of the season after the deadline.
