Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson have set new records for assists by defenders in the Premier League. Robertson added to his impressive tally during Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Luton, even though he only came on as a substitute.
The two players have been key to Liverpool's success under manager Jurgen Klopp, despite only winning one Premier League title so far. Together, they've made more than 100 assists in top-flight matches.
With Liverpool's strong attacking line-up, it's likely that Alexander-Arnold and Robertson will continue to add to their tally - although it remains to be seen how the players will be used in the post-Klopp era, with the popular German departing at the end of the season.
Since making his Premier League debut as an 18-year-old in December 2016, Alexander-Arnold has made 58 assists. What's even more impressive is that he only played 26 games and made one assist in his first two seasons.
But since the 2018/19 season he's been prolific at setting up goals, and at just 25 years old, there's plenty of time for him to make even more assists.
However, he faces tough competition from his teammate Robertson, who is also known for his attacking prowess on the opposite flank. Even at 29, the Scottish player shows no signs of slowing down.
Robertson first played in the top league in 2016 for Hull City. He was with the Tigers for one season in the Premier League, and even though they were relegated, he impressed Liverpool enough to sign him.
While playing for Hull, the left-back managed two assists, but his other 58 have all been created at Liverpool.
