Brave to save at the feet of Amdouni early on and even better stop from Fofana after break. Confident with distribution – one momentary slip aside – and no chance with equaliser.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 7

Jarell Quansah 7
Tidy enough first half but coaxed into one needless tackle. Better as Burnley pressed second half, particularly in the air, and one shot on turn just wide. Booked.
Virgil van Dijk 6

Wataru Endo 7
Tidied up regularly in front of back four and willing to put foot in, and stepped up at start of second half when Liverpool needed injection of tempo. Lost man for equaliser, though. Booked and subbed.
Alexis Mac Allister 6
Playing on the right of midfield three, wasn’t involved as much as of late before break. Shifted to left at half-time and steady
